Highlights from the 2016 First Food Forum
We joined the W.K. Kellogg Foundation and hundreds of grantees and partners last week at the 2016 First Food Forum to discuss breastfeeding support as an essential part of achieving health equity. In partnership with WKKF, we facilitated a workshop on mobilizing movements with unified messaging, provided speaker coaching, produced an animated video and conference materials, and shared learnings via social media.
Success for the Blackfeet Nation
For 34 years, the Blackfeet Nation fought to cancel oil and gas leases, particularly one lease held by Solonex LLC, in the sacred Badger-Two Medicine area. This March, their work paid off: The Department of the Interior stepped in, cancelling the lease.
Healthy Food America launches to drive food policy change
Healthy Food America is a new organization on a mission: to drive change in food policy and industry practice so that every person in the U.S. can eat a healthy diet and live free of chronic disease. Together, we developed an organization name, brand identity, and messages. Next up? A campaign on “big sugar.
