Ploughshares Fund is the largest grantmaking foundation in the U.S. dedicated exclusively to security and peace. Seeking to invigorate its online presence, Ploughshares Fund engaged Pyramid in a complete online communications overhaul.

Early on, we helped Ploughshares establish goals for the new site: create dynamic content features communicating the impact and urgency of its critical mission, adopt a platform allowing greater ease in managing and publishing timely content, and integrate an existing grantee and experts database.

We wanted the new site to be an expression of Ploughshares’ powerful brand, so we began with brand discovery and donor research. From there, we developed key messages and a bold new visual concept and approach to navigation. We built the site in Drupal for a vibrant user experience that allows visitors to access current news, analysis and resources through multiple pathways. The launch of the new website and announcement led to an initial increase of more than 40 percent in unique visitors; page views increased by more than 100 percent.

With grants that span the globe, Ploughshares Fund has countless compelling stories to tell. With a new online framework, the foundation has expanded its online offering in order to reach out to donors, media and grantees in new and relevant ways.
