Community Roots Housing reflects a history that is rooted in community building. A new and colorfully rich visual brand highlights the organization’s vibrancy and warmth. The new website offers potential residents greater technical functionality to search for an apartment, residents a hub for paying rent and accessing services, and staff the tools to easily make regularly required updates.

An Evolving Identity
While maintaining its roots and relationships in Capitol Hill, over its 45 years, Capitol Hill Housing expanded its geographic reach and became a collaborative partner with communities around Seattle affected by displacement and historic oppression. Its name no longer portrayed its evolving identity.
Pyramid was honored to lead the development of a new name, visual brand, and website. This deeply collaborative process featured a nine-member rebranding committee consisting of board and staff, some of whom were Capitol Hill Housing residents. More than 600 stakeholders, including board members, residents, partners, and community members, were engaged in providing input into a new name at multiple stages.
