Alex Bates

Alex enjoys humanizing technology, finding patterns in challenges, and eking out solutions that span the breadth of the problems of the moment. With a multidisciplinary approach to technology, founded in curiosity and deepened through an education in sciences and the arts, he helps Pyramid plan for the future. His core functions at Pyramid include the strategic concepting and implementation of systems, day-to-day support of both the Pyramid team and of our clients, and advisement on processes and methodology to support us all. Beyond serving our team, Alex has recently helped support clients including the Black Future Co-op Fund, Muckleshoot Indian Tribe, the Spirit Aligned Leadership Program and Washington Environmental Council. Prior to joining Pyramid, Alex worked with companies ranging from local design, advertising and architecture firms to Microsoft, Holland America and Nintendo.

When not behind a computer, Alex can be found traveling the globe and exploring the world just beyond his back yard. He enjoys cooking and camping, the woods and the water. As a father of two, Alex’s favorite thing is to spend time with his family, watching his kids grow and experience new places and discoveries.
